The mission of Dubai Healthcare City is to create a platform for the provision of healthcare, education and research services within an informed regulatory framework. We are at the forefront of healthcare delivery by continuously responding to emerging healthcare needs to improve the lives of people.

Regionally, there is an immense potential for a world class state-of-the-art center of excellence for all medical services. The aptly named Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) provides modern medical services in the disciplines relevant to the health issues facing the region and internationally. These include cardiology, oncology, diabetes as well as providing a basis of other preventive, health maintenance and rehabilitative services.
DHCC is a self-regulated environment for high-quality healthcare, medical education and research. The four entities involved in delivering DHCC’s vision are:

- Harvard Medical School Dubai Center (HMSDC)

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Academic Medical Center
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Academic Medical Center is at the core of the DHCC’s clinical and educational structure. This central core comprises three components, namely, the University Hospital; the Harvard Medical School Dubai Center Institute for Postgraduate Education and Research; the Dubai Harvard Foundation for Medical Research; and the Al Maktoum Harvard Medical Library. In addition, the Academic Medical Center also directs the functions of medical and wellness community.
DHCC: Two Communities, One DestinationDHCC, the world's first healthcare free zone, boasts two complementary communities, namely, the Medical Community and the Wellness Community. The Medical Community, which focuses on acute care services, occupies an area of 4.1 million square feet. The Wellness Community covers 19 million square feet and completes DHCC’s healthcare continuum by housing hospitals, outpatient clinics, luxury spa resorts, and the entire spectrum of wellness services.
